East Galway and Midlands Cancer Support (EGM) is a non-profit organisation providing free services to cancer patients and their families, including counselling, support groups and therapies. The organisation is launching 2 new initiatives to enhance support for those affected by cancer in the local community:
A new mobile app developed with ClubSpot is being launched by EGM to serve in 2 capacities. First it will serve as a comprehensive resource for members, detailing event updates, news, support resources and fundraising information.
Secondly, the mobile app will host a 50/50 draw, offering participants the chance to win cash prizes while contributing to a vital cause.
To participate in the draw all you need to do is download the EGM Cancer Centre Support App from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android) on your device. From there you can buy a ticket through their easy on-line sign-up process. The total amount collected each month is split equally. E.g. if €500 is collected in a month and your name is drawn, you receive €250, and the EGM receives €250 to help supports it’s important work in the community. This straightforward system ensures that both the EGM and the lucky winner benefit from each draw
The official launch event for both initiatives is scheduled for Friday, December 6th, 2024, at 7pm at the EGM Cancer Support Centre in Brackernagh, Ballinasloe. These initiatives aim to make support services more accessible and provide a fun way for the community to contribute to EGM’s mission of delivering high-quality care and support to cancer patients and their families. Everyone is welcome to the event.
